Just because you've been brain washed with mass produced perishable aluminum bikes, with fat tubes, try to see beyond that.
Who gives a f*** about looks anyway, function is all that counts. I'm yet to pick up a girl because of how my bike looks, and I'm not into boys, and I don't think how my bike looks makes me ride any faster.

8" with 2.75" stroke shock.
I'm running a 3" stroke shock by moving the shock shuttle forward to the next hole.

How are the rear spokes holding up?
How far did you have to bend them? Did you bend them permanently or just letting them stay sprung by being pulled over?
Did you change the length +/-2mm each side?

The forks are built long due to their possible 200mm travel. I have them wound down(this also lowers them)to 170mm. The frame has a short headtube with integrated bearings,so with both these factors, there's a lot of extra stanchion,I have them slammed virtually also.Great light fork. I'll put the single crown version(available now)on when my other DH bikes up n running.
